Bella Bethesda cannot be responsible for the loss or damage to personal articles including clothing or accessories. For your convenience, we can hang up any articles of clothing and provide a robe during your appointment. Jewelry and accessories are advised to be removed during your visit to prevent loss or damage.
Bella Bethesda welcomes all well-behaved children at a 20% discount up to the age of 10. Appointments with one of our New Talent stylists will need to be children ages 5-10. When accompanied by a child, be mindful that most drawers at Bella contain sharp objects and chemicals potentially dangerous to unattended children. Running, spinning and climbing on chairs may result in injury and is strongly discouraged. Your vigilance is appreciated.
We will gladly apply the full value of gently used retail products purchased at Bella Bethesda for a full refund or toward another product of your choice within 30 days of the purchase. Returns after 30 days and up to 90 days will be given a credit to your Bella account up to half of the price that was originally paid. Unless defective, all sales on brushes, styling tools (flat-irons, blow-dryers, etc), and hair accessories such as hair-bands, barrettes, clips etc. and makeup are final.
Gratuities can now be added to your card. Cash is accepted, but we are not able to break change. Please be sure to have different denominations to leave for your stylist and/or shampoo assistant.
Hair color formulas are considered intellectual property of Bella Bethesda and are not available for purchase.
Your satisfaction means everything to us. If you are unsatisfied with your service, we want you to feel safe communicating with us within 2 weeks of your original appointment.. We welcome the opportunity to make it right and will gladly schedule an adjustment within 2 weeks of your original service.
Sometimes a small refinement by your original designer is all that’s needed, or you may feel more comfortable working with someone new – either way, we’re here to listen and support you. While refunds are not offered for services rendered, we are committed to ensuring you love your results and, given the opportunity, will go above and beyond to make that happen.
Our goal is to offer a fun and creative work environment for our team as well as consistency and quality for our guests. Late arrivals create stress and risk a compromised experience for designers and guests alike. To ensure promptness and quality for all reservations, we may elect to reschedule reservations running 15 minutes late or later to another convenient time. Parking and traffic can be an issue here at Bella Bethesda, so please plan accordingly.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations, EXCEPT smoothing treatments, which we ask for 48 hours notice.. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows impact our ability to serve others. After three same day cancellations or no-shows, a credit card will be required to book future appointments, a 50% deposit may be taken, and the full service amount will be charged if it happens again. Online booking may also be restricted.
Appointments are confirmed 48–72 hours in advance. If you need to cancel within 24 hours, please call the salon.

The beauty industry sends 877lb of waste to the landfill every single minute. At Bella Bethesda, we want to create beauty, not waste, so our mission is to not only empower our clients to feel beautiful, but also help our Earth stay beautiful.
To further that mission, Bella Bethesda Salon is partnering with Green Circle to let us be as sustainable and kind to our Earth as possible. With their help, we recycle and repurpose up to 95% of our materials, from bottles and foils, to the more unusual items such as hair from your trims and any color leftover in our bowls.
To make this level of sustainability possible, there is a small fee on all of our tickets to mitigate costs and allow us to push to the forefront of sustainability within the beauty industry. With every pound of waste repurposed, we lower that staggering statistic and help give back to the planet that takes care of us every day.
Gift Cards may be purchased in-store and online and are redeemable towards services and products. Gift Cards will expire 4 years after date of purchase. Gift Card must be present at time of service and are not redeemable for cash.
